Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff
A complete renovation of the public areas of an Edwardian former school building: the foyer, reception and cafe-bar, the galleries, cinemas, WCs and external areas.
The main strategy was the reconfiguration & expansion of the ground floor entrance areas to connect right through the building, with new entrances front and back and a large light-filled foyer and cafe-bar: lots of space for waiting, meeting, chatting, eating, reading and displaying art.
